The
machine cycle demonstration contained within
this section was achieved at Akron Special Machinery
(ASpM) with a TTOC-II controller installed on
an ASpM Model X75 TUO machine.
The X75, similar to industry-common "4
post" TUOs, has a belt conveyor and roller
conveyors for entrance and exit. A luber, integrated
into the entrance conveyor, also acts as a centering
device. Entrance, center, and exit photo-eyes
are located exactly like the are on a standard
"4 post" TUO. The hydraulic system
is adjusted to a two-second chuck up/down time.
The X75 used for the demo also has the following
features, which are packaged together with the
power panel to provide a complete retrofit solution
for existing TUOs:
BFS/CTI Tire Sidewall Inspection
System (TSIS) that uses lasers to measure
sidewall undulation, lateral runout, and
bulges and depressions.
