| TREAD LABEL PRINTING |
Creating, managing, and printing tread labels is labor intensive and time consuming. Each label has a very specific government mandated information requirements further complicated by vendor information requirements. The volume of labels required creates a very expensive problem.
Some complexities of the current systems include:
|
|
|
|
• Multiple, inconsistent versions of the
same label
• Rapidly changing inventory or information
requirements cause down-time due
to printing and shipping delays
• Large quantities of labels are often
pre-printed to avoid outages, creating
significant waste
• Software is installed on many distributed
PC's, causing expensive and time
consuming support and upgrade issues
• Labels are applied by hand, which is
expensive and error prone. |

CTI has created a Tread Label Application solution consisting of a web based software application for label design and layout, and a high quality ink jet printer. This solution allows a user to dynamically lay out labels using an approved template inside of a web browser application and then print labels on demand. Local printing eliminates inventory, waste, and downtime while also providing a platform for the future addition of automated label application
Benefits
• Just-in-time printing of labels at the point of application
• Cost reduction/avoidance due to on-demand printing, no shipping of labels,
and no down-time waiting for labels to arrive
• No minimum order quantities
• No costly printing setup or change over costs
• Centralized software eliminates the cost of supporting distributed applications
Web Interface
Internet based software allows users to lay out label definitions in a collaborative
manner, and it provides easy distribution to remote printers
