The TFFIS combines computer
LAN and Radio Frequency communications technologies
into an easy to use facility allowing a workstation
operator to rapidly communicate changing production
conditions to stationary and mobile personnel,
maintenance personnel, truckers, raw material
inventory supervisors, finished product inventory
supervisors, and the accounting and payroll departments.

The TFFIS workstation is an
Intel PC with VGA monitor or Windows CE hand held
computer and optional touch screen, bar code reader,
bar code printer, RF pagers and terminals, and
PLC interfaces. The workstations are interfaced
directly to the machine's control system allowing
TFFIS to support the control process and collect
information from equipment. TFFIS accurately and
efficiently collects and inputs data to measure
and adjust process variables. TFFIS gives real-time,
machine status, production counts, inventory levels,
machine/operator efficiency, time card/operator
availability and performance, and accounts for
all machine down-time and delays.
